DO NOT choose the "self-install" option. They refused to schedule a technician for 7 days claiming that my area was under an outage. I explained to six different customer service agents that the cable between the pole and the box on the side of my house had been cut. On the 8th day, I ran an extension cable out to the pole and plugged their modem straight into it. Internet worked great. I explained to TWO MORE technical support reps that I still needed service, but because my equipment had been plugged in, they considered my "self install" a success and would charge me $130 for a tech visit. I showed up at the local office and talked them into sending techs out. They gave me an appointment between "8AM and 8PM" the following day. I was home _THE ENTIRE DAY_. Not only did the techs not show up, they didn't call, they didn't text, and they charged me for the service call anyway. It is impossible to speak to anyone with any authority to do anything. On the 10th day, I just dropped the modem off, told them to keep it, and dared them to try to bill me for any of this. If anyone wants to start a class action lawsuit, I'm in. This company should not be allowed to operate in Texas.

If there was a negative five stars, I would click on it. Worst customer service on phone and in store. Lies, Scams, and Overcharges! NOT worth signing up for! I've read many, many complaints about optimum/Suddenlink.

Had so many issues with the routers supplied by the company, I had to go purchase my own. For the following three months it was a constant battle with the company to get the charge removed from my bill, this was not fixed until I told them to cancel my account. The internet speed is good for a couple of days at a time, but there are always issues regardless if you have you system wired into the router or on Wi-Fi (and yes I pay for the top speed) Overall if you can get anything else where you live donā€™t go with this company, they will disappointed no matter what and overcharge you the entire way.
