Spokane Residential Internet Coverage

As one of the largest cities in eastern Washington, Spokane benefits from consistent service from many internet service providers.

Fiber internet is extremely high-speed, and Centurylink Prism has a growing fiber network throughout Spokane. As a result, fiber internet is available in eastern neighborhoods like Logan, Bemiss, and Whitman. The southern neighborhood of Latah Valley is also within the Centurylink Prism network.

DSL internet is provided by CenturyLink, a company that serves the entirety of Spokane, in addition to many communities on the outskirts of Spokane.

On the same note, Xfinity offers cable internet to all of Spokane. Their service map stretches as far north as Five Mile Prairie and North Indian Trail, running through central Spokane to Comstock and Moran Prairie in the south.

Local internet provider Cheney Medical Lake TV Cable serves select neighborhoods in southwestern Spokane. Some of the neighborhoods that enjoy service through this provider are Brownes Addition, Latah Valley, West Hills, and Thorpewestwood.

The BIGGEST PROBLEM with Xfinity, aside from trying to reach customer service and talk to a real person who speaks English without a heavy accent, are the constant outages at very random times during the week. This is very problematic if you are working from home...and just infuriating in general given the monthly charges and lack of alternatives in eastern Washington. As a monopoly, they don't have to try very hard.

Hot garbage. Constantly drops internet long enough to kick us out of online games and streaming services. Almost impossible to get ahold of a human, and both humans and AI insist that the problem is on my end. All of our devices are new.

Very rare outages, there are drops in bandwidth speed at times, but the prices have gone up half again in just over three years; taxes are not the issue, despite what xFinity people like to claim, as the increase is nearly three times the total taxes included on statements. I am fixed income and will be going to a new provider soon.

There combined billing with Directtv is a nightmare. They promise you one thing at Direct but you don't get it at Century Link until your on the phone for an hour. My service went down on Tuesday and I'm told they can send someone on Friday. The lady said it's in their outside line! Not satisfactory service

Good speed and reliability, but pricing is high. Also tries to lock you into a contract, which isn't good. Overall, good performance, but would appreciate more upfront pricing.
