All three packages listed above include a set-top box for watching Verizon’s live TV service on your big screen. Of the three, The Most Fios TV plan is the only one that offers unlimited streaming to all of your devices. Streaming is extra for the More Fios TV plan and isn’t included with the Fios TV: Local one.

Some of Verizon’s Fios TV plans have perks, too. For example, The Most Fios TV plan includes MGM+, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, and STARZ. Meanwhile, Paramount+ and SHOWTIME are part of the Your Fios TV package (not listed above). Some Fios TV plans even include a Verizon Gift Card ranging from $50 to $200.

You can add perks to most mobile and home internet plans at any time. You get a monthly discount on each perk when doing so, although you save more if you have Verizon’s mobile and Fios internet services. Some perks are unnecessary if the TV plan you choose already has the services you want, like The Most Fios TV plan with four premium streaming services included.

Verizon internet discounts—how can you lower your bill?

Even without the gift cards and soundbar discounts, you get a killer deal from Verizon, with multiple discounts and price breaks embedded in the billing of fiber and 5G home internet plans. You get unlimited data, Verizon offers a router rental at no extra cost, and you can waive the $99 setup charge for Fios plans when you order online.

On top of that, you also get up to a 3-year price guarantee on your plan. No need to worry about surprise price hikes that double your bill (as happens with other providers).

  • No charge for Wi-Fi router rental
  • No data caps on Fios or 5G Home Internet plans
  • Waiver on $99 setup charge when you order Fios online
  • No installation fee on 5G Home
  • 2- or 3-year price guarantee on Fios and 5G Home plans
  • $25 monthly off when you combine Fios service with your current Unlimited Plus phone plan

Deals for students

Customers who are college students receive a $5–$10 monthly discount on any Fios internet plan. They get $5 off if they also have a qualifying Verizon wireless plan and $10 if they’re a non-wireless customer.

What fees do you pay with Verizon internet?

Verizon doesn’t gouge you on fees—but there are some fees you might have to pay.

First off, here’s what you don’t have to pay.

  • No charge for Wi-Fi router rental
  • No data caps or overage charges
  • Waiver on $99 setup charge when you order Fios online
  • No setup fee for 5G Home or 5G Home Plus

Alright, now here’s the fees you do have to pay.

Verizon internet fees

FeesCost
Whole Home Wi-Fi / Whole Home Wi-Fi Plus extender$10–$15/mo. (included at no extra charge with Fios 1 Gig plans)
Verizon router (purchase)$399.99
Setup$99 (waived if you order online)
Late payment1.5% of the owed balance or $5

It’s not likely you actually have to deal with any of these extra charges from Verizon. Signing up for AutoPay means you don’t have to worry about late fees, and you can waive the setup charge for Fios simply by ordering online.

If you live in a home with a large layout—or if you want Wi-Fi in your backyard—you can pay extra for a Wi-Fi extender to cover more ground. You can also buy a router directly from Verizon, but we wouldn’t recommend it because the router is super expensive. You’re better off buying your own Wi-Fi router.

Use your zip code to find internet providers in your area! Maybe you can get a sweet deal on Verizon Fios or 5G Home?
