Xfinity has a data cap of 1.2Tb which means streaming video at 4k and wfh chews it up every month. The data cap was removed during the pandemic - demonstrating it is a money grab and no technical limitation exists. Internet goes down completely for hours every couple of months. They rarely notify us of outages even though we have the app set up with notifications. We have to contact them or check our connection to find out about it. We all have tMO hotspots on our phones to work around outages.

bad service. overpriced. monopolistic. disappointing quality of internet provided, especially at the price. And then the data caps are unreasonable. I would never look at xfinity again if I could help it. The only alternatives aren't even in the same ballpark for my neighborhood. Only way to get 200+ mbps is with this scam of a company. Be warned, if you sign up for 1000, you'll really get about 250. And apparently that's "within the contracted service level"

Windstream

Windstream seems to have the best price so far compared to other competitors. I don't care much for their customer service. The speed is fair. There were a few times this year that we didn't have internet for a whole day due to maintenance. The price is usually why we stay with them.

I constantly find myself stuck in a century that feels like dial-up connection when trying to do my school work. The internet has been lagging lately, and not to mention the hold on Netflix. The pricing is good, don't get me wrong, but I expected it to be as fast as they stated to me when describing the connection.
